The Bird's Nest

Our first vacation rental property awaits you. This home that we call The Bird's Nest is a two story farmhouse with more than 1,800 square feet of living space.
As you enter this quiet, spacious home you'll find a comfortable den with a gas fireplace. Adjoining the den is the game room with a variety of board games,
game books, and cards. Passing through the game room you enter the kitchen/dining area complete with stove, microwave, refrigerator, and coffee/espresso
maker with coffee grinder. You are welcome to any of the kitchen and pantry foods and beverages. Just off the kitchen is a powder room as well as a laundry
room with washer, dryer, utility tub, bench, and area to hang your coats by the back door. Behind the den is the first floor bedroom. It's twin bed has a heated
mattress pad. In the rear of the house is the spacious sunroom with sofa, love seat, and rocking chair. Binoculars give you closeup views of the birds and
wildlife as you watch from one of the four large windows that look into the woods. When the sun sets you can explore the incredibly brilliant constellations
through the telescope aimed at the northeast sky.
Ascending to the second floor you may choose on of the two bedroom suites. Each suite has a queen size bed topped with a thick featherbed, soft high
thread count cotton sheets, and a dual zone electric blanket. Nightstands flank each bedside and a convertible crib is set up as seating if there are no little
ones along. Of course each suite has it's own closet, full bath with thick cotton towels, and blow dryer.
On the outside of this home just off the dining area is a covered deck that looks to the mountains of New York state. More than once we have napped here
only to awaken from the low buzz of the hummingbirds as the fly in for a snack from their feeder. Keep your eyes open and you may find a doe casually grazing
with her fawn in the field just beyond the yard. After your nap it's time to take a few steps down off the deck to the open patio and put the gas grill to work for
your BBQing pleasure.
